Brownie was initially conceived as a short story for online publication. I was eager to explore more illustration at the time. Designer and author James Li and I teamed up to work on his story. The project ran the course of around 6 months and was published in Tomorrow Publishing around 2009. The book was distributed through convenience stores throughout Taiwan.
Brownie is a beautiful story that takes your hand ever so gently and walks the reader through a passage of nostalgia. Brownie is a wonderful coming-of-age book, that reminds us all that life is so short. As part of a restoration project, I'm in the process of rebuilding the site and releasing the story online for the public.
Older published cover and insert created for the distributed version of the book. It was such a great experience to see friends, family and the public enjoying the story of Brownie.
